Developed for the kit-car enthusiast, the real Brembo
brake system is perfect for their authentic type kit-car. This brake is designed to work with
the 16" wheels, normally found on a variety of Ferrari and Lamborghini
kits. Besides being authentic Brembo calipers, this brake kit has the best
biasing from front to rear over all other kits offered. This kit has 4 piston
calipers front and rear that are designed to work with rear engine cars, adding
more braking to the rear, keeping the car balanced while braking. This kit is
equipped with individual rear, spot-type mechanical emergency brake calipers.
Brembo brakes are the brakes of choice for all the formula
1, Indy, sportsman type racing, and rally cars. This Brembo brake kit is
supplied with new front hubs, brackets, calipers, rotors, and mounting hardware
to install on your Fiero suspension. Brackets and installation hardware are NOT
sold separately. The hubs are Fiero front hubs with the disks machined off.
These modified hubs will increase the track width of the Fiero by 5/16"
per-side. The modified hubs are required on the front only. The 1988 Fiero do
not require these hubs. The rotors used in this kit are from the Chevrolet
Corvette C4. They are re-drilled to the Fiero 5 / 100 bolt pattern. The calipers are aluminum, four piston, Brembo calipers for the front and rear. The
brake pads for these calipers are readily available and are commonly used in a
variety of domestic applications. The parking brake is still used on this
system without modification of the cable. This kit is equipped with individual
rear, spot-type mechanical emergency brake calipers. Concentric rings are
specially designed to keep the rotors running concentric with the hubs.
Two piece rotor upgrade available at an additional charge for the above brake package.
This two piece package consists of rotor and hat. The rotors come slotted.
These rotor and hat weigh in at 10.7 lbs per unit as compared to 27 lbs for the one piece rotor. This greatly reduces your unsprung weight.
