The West Coast Fiero “Shorty” 304 Stainless Exhaust Headers are designed to enhance the performance of your Fiero engine by providing an unobstructed flow. This unhindered flow allows the engine to function as it was originally designed, leading to an increase in horsepower by up to 5%. This improvement translates into a noticeable increase in power output that the driver can feel.
The product image showcases our renowned headers, which are included in every package along with Marmen clamps and a “Y” pipe. The header system is shipped as raw metal, available in either 1018 steel or 304 stainless steel, depending on your preference.
The raw metal finish allows for customization by the installer. It can be painted with high-temperature paint or coated with ceramic for added durability and aesthetics. Additionally, West Coast Fiero offers the option to apply a ceramic coating to the system before shipping.
To ensure a complete installation, a set of header bolts is included in the package. The primary headers have a diameter of 1-1/2″, and the diameter of the Y-Pipe can be selected from the drop-down menu, with options ranging from 2″ to 2-1/2″.
Please note that it is crucial for all exhaust systems to be installed with a minimum amount of weight on the header system. Excessive engine movement, which can be caused by bad mounts or high output engines with stock Fiero mounts, can lead to undue strain on the header system. This strain can cause the headers to crack. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to properly suspend the exhaust system, ensuring minimal stress is placed on the headers.
